Why are we so in love?

I am 18 and I have been dating my boyfriend who is a year younger than me for almost a year. We had always kind of liked one another but had never hung out enough to really know. I knew he drank a lot and was a heavy pot smoker(he does other drugs too here and there) but I didn’t care. After 2 dates we were completly crazy over one another. I had never smoked pot befrore but I did it with him because I knew it has a big part of his life. I wanted to accept every part of him. However, pot has become something that I truly enjoy for myself now. We smoke everyday together and just sit and laugh and love on eachother and watch movies and act silly. I even love his friends we all just hang and can have so much fun doing nothing. We never fight or argue. Everything is blissful and I feel like we have the happiest relationship. We love eachother so much. He’s already told me im the girl he wants to marry and have kids with. But an old friend of mine thinks that we are just on our own little cloud of drugs and have lost touch with reality. She thinks we’re only in love because of drugs and that we are headed in a bad direction. What do you think?
