Why are older brothers so protective?

Okay so I know that they are family and obv. Family looks out for family when they need to be. But why do they care so much who and when you date? Isn’t this like none of there bisuness? Ik they’re trying to be sweet and look out but why do they care who you date? It’s not like I go asking who they date? Is this just like me or? Does anyone else thinnk its totally unfair and is there anything to do becides talking to htem? And I dont give them a good reason for this I dont do drugs, never had sex so hwy??? Please help thanks

They dont do it to annoy u… they do it bc they lovee u. Someyetimes you may find it annoyinh, but you need to take under concideration that they are only trying to protect u. They may tell you that they dont love you or call you names.. but obviously the truth is that they love you and would never want to see you get hurt by some guy undeserving of u. Also, maybe they have not treated a girl like they should have and maybe they dont want a guy to treat you how they have treated girls in the past.. so take all of this under concideration little sisters >:P.

since my dad is always drink I fell like my older brother is my dad … they see you as a lil girl for a long time … I am so glad my brother looks out for me cause my dad just dont care … they just dont want to see you get hurt

I have 2 older brothers. I rather have them looking out for me then to not be there for me at all. I know it gets annoying sometimes but they really just want to make sure their little sister doesn’t get hurt.

Youre brother is just looking out for you I also have a little sister and all we are trying to do is make sure you guys do not get hurt thats it. eventually he will reconize that your not doing anything wrong and leave you alone so just play it out.

he loves you and cares about you, maybe he doesn’t want you to date someone who might hurt you or someone bad, maybe your brother has been through this and he doesn’t want you to got through the same thing (if it’s bad), he wants to know who you’re dating just encase something happens and he needs his help, etc. he’s trying to protect you from bad things/people, in the end… … he’s just worried about you! :)
