Why are my posts being deleted?

I find recently that some of my posts have gone missing, and it’s starting to irk me. Can someone explain to me the criteria for deleting posts?

One of these posts that was deleted was in a thread meant to help a student with her homework, and I asked her to clarify the question. What’s the harm in that?

In the case of homework postings, in the Funadvice terms of service it says something like “questions that seem like homework will be deleted, in our judgement”, as this site is about giving advice & answers on life, not answers to their homework. That might be why some of your posts are going missing.

it turns out I can’t see answers to some questions unless I refresh the page.

That isn’t good. I’ll file a bug about it.

Hm, there were a few more, but it turns out I can’t see answers to some questions unless I refresh the page.

As for the Antigone question, I realize the person who locked the question didn’t know this, but I was planning on helping the kid, not just giving her the answer.
