Answer #8

maybe because your starting to get milk in them or a serious breast problem

Answer #9

nipples being itchy is not a sign of breast cancer!!! I have really bad itchy too. use breastfeeding cream, you can find it in the baby area at your walmart, thats what my doctor recommended sometimes they come in a purple tube.

Answer #10

Don’t worry :) Thats not a symptom of breast cancer. More likely it’s a dermatitis caused by something you’ve been wearing. New soap powder? New bra? Try a little hydrocortisone 1% or 0.5% cream - 3 x a day for a week.

if your clothes are new, it may cause itchyness and rashes. Or maybe there is something in your detergent that makes you all itchy. Check up on it. :)

Answer #13

Answer #14

“If you have itching nipples, with ANY fluid discharge at all, this could be a serious endocrine problem and you should see a doctor.

This happened to me and I had a lesion on my pit gland. The gland was secreting lactaion hormones and this was a sign that it was ill.”

think that is a sign that I need to go to the docs then as I had my last child 5 years ago and I still secrete small amounts of ‘milk’ and my nipples sometimes itch like hell mighth mentin it to the nurse when I go for my smear next week as I can hardly understand my doc and its a bit embarrassing with males!!

Answer #15

My nipples have been itchy on and off for about two months. I try not to scratch but there are times that I can’t stand it and I have to almost pinch them to relieve the itch. I don’t have a rash or dry skin…what can it be???

Answer #16

Mikij- You may need to see a doctor…

Answer #17

ok I dont think anyone mentioned this but I once went through a time when mine was itching really bad, well not REALLY bad but enough to make me notice. I thought it was dry nipples or my bra rubbing them as it turned out it was due to high liver enzymes level. I had gall stones and a malfunctioning bile duct. If for any reason your liver enzymes go up this will cause your nipples to itch.

For a while now, I’m not to sure how long, but maybe 6-12 months, my right breast as been itchy badly. And it seem dried, like chapped lips. But then hear recently my it started happening on my left breast as well. And on my right breast it’s right under my nipple, and on my left breast it’s on the nipple. Also, there’s these small red bumps, that look like a pimple, but it doesn’t hurt, or have pus in them. They don’t cause me a problem but I’ve noticed them along with the itchiness, and driness. Also, I’m 18 years old, and I am NOT pregnant. – Any ideas?

Answer #23

it could be the seam in your bra. if it goes acoss your nipple. I can wear those suckers. try underwire for support with a seamless cup. and a bit of vaseline or a&d ointment before bed. my mom cured everything with A&D. its not just for babies hinies

Answer #24

Do you work in health care. You may have scabies.

Answer #25

I have had breast cancer…my nipples did not itch.

If you have itching nipples, with ANY fluid discharge at all, this could be a serious endocrine problem and you should see a doctor.

This happened to me and I had a lesion on my pit gland. The gland was secreting lactaion hormones and this was a sign that it was ill.

If you don’t have any kind of skin rash around the nipple to explain the itching, and especially if there is any fluid leakage, SEE YOUR DOCTOR.

Answer #26

k well I think you come and see a docter k we will have a look a men will do the job or just start getting milk out of it it just could go away

Answer #27

2 possibilities I think. If the problem is becoming worse at night this could be indicative of scabies as this problem tends to manifest at night.

The other possibility is that you could have an eczema problem.

I had eczema on my nipple as you did went to the doctor and was given a steroid cream to apply 3 times a day and it cleared up within a week. hope this helps

Answer #28

wear sports bras for a while only made with cotton and put some cortozone cream on at night that should stop it
