Alright so I've had this problem since january 2009 so for about a little more then a year... my problem is that EVERYTIME I have sex with my boyfriend I have very very very bad pain and I also get itchy down there... it sometimes smells funky too... now I've been tested for the most common stds chalmydia,goneareha I've also had an HIV test and they all come back negative... firstly I had a yeast infection... then when I got rid of the yeast infection I had a bacteria infection.. and then back to a yeast infection then back to bacteria and so on.. im sooo SICK of having this issue... does anyone have any ideas of what I should get checked for or if they had something similar? this is sooo annoying... I just want to be better :(
Try an allergy test- if you use condoms you may be allergic to latex?
On the meantime, make sure you reduce your chances of yeast infections by always wearing cotton underwear, which will let air get to the area. Wash once a day with unscented soap designed for the area (such as Femfresh) or just water and never clean inside your vagina, as that is what your natural discharge is for.
I imagine if you get a lot of irratation from sex then it must be an allergy. Maybe to condoms, maybe to an ingredient in lube if you use it? Try latex free condoms and different lube and if that does not help then go back to your doctor or nurse and just see what else they can suggest.
in the best case..have you been treated for a urinary tract infection??it could b that or it could also b a bladder disese called interstitual cystitis aka IC.let me know if you want more info on ic.
