Why am I always the one who gets disappointed?

So this friday was supposed to be me and my sister’s day to just hang out and spend time together. I was so pumped, and we have been planning this for the past couple days together, about what we were going to do. Well, there is this ferry corsten show coming up that my sister’s boyfriend and all our friends are going to, just so happens to be on the friday me and my sister plan to hang out. And I can’t go because I’m only seventeen and I don’t have a fake I.d. Total bummmer. So my sister tells me that she will stay home with me instead of going to the show. This way me and her can hang out without everyone else, I.e. Her boyfriend and his little brother who likes me but I don’t like him. We planned on rolling. Me and my sister and one other friend. Well my sister tried to tell her boyfriend that she wasn’t going to the show and he made her feel bad and now she is going. And what’s worse is I can’t even go to the afterparty because it’s too far of a drive to go out to the show, come pick me up, and go back out to the afterparty. So, I’m going to be alone and sober friday night. Which the whole being sober part whatever, I can deal, it’s not a great loss or anything. But being alone while knowing that all my friends are out to some amazing show and party getting totally blown out of their minds. This is what I deserve though, I guess. Maybe because I messed up so much, I ruined so much.

What about just finding other solutions then feeling sorry for yourself? Seriously, you could go out close to where the show is and hang out wherever (bring a book, go to a coffee shop, go shopping, etc.) and when the show is over meet up with them to go to the party. It’s no big deal. Just try to find other solutions so you’ll be able to meet up with them after the show.
