Whopper Virgins? What???

Does anyone else think that this moronic “Whopper Virgins” thing that Burger King is doing is completely ridiculous and kind of offensive to other cultures? I just saw the commercial, and they’re taking villagers from some remote nation that have never had a burger, and they bring them here to eat a Whopper and a Big Mac, to see which one they pick. Why??? What is the actual point?

I agree to the above said. There are so many Human rights issues at the forefront of which Hmong people happen to be, but instead they are choosing to display us in the worst of lights.

If you are offended, I URGE YOU TO NOT DISCUSS NOR BRING ATTENTION TO THIS AD. The more you do, the more attention and cash you’re doomed to return for their ad.

BK makes all its money from advertisements and hardly nothing from selling its whoppers. Just be clever and leave them to their own corporate lameness.

“Thats sad that they are using HMONG people for this commercial and not even showing what is happening to the hmong right now in thailand, the hmong in thailand are getting rapped and killed, kids being shot at and watchin in horror. The commercial ACTORS dont even look hmong and they got our traditional dress wrong the first time, using the idea of showing where hmong live and all is all FAKE cause right now most of the hmong population in thailand are in REFUGEE CAMPS being MURDERED, TREATED AS SLAVES,SEXUALLY ABUSED, and being horrified so I think if they are going to show people make it true and THERE IS A MCDONALD IN THAILAND AND CHANGMAI where the commercial was supposedly taken at.

Come on… it’s a freakin commercial. Those are not REAL villagers that haven’t ever had a hambuger. They are actors. This might actually be offensive to aother cultures, if that culture they are talking about actually exists. The point is… they are trying to sell you Whoppers! Which I love by the way. McDonald’s sucks!

P.S. Has anybody heard the word???

Answer #8

does the word have to do with the bird by any chance???

Answer #9

I haven seen the commercial, and I can see what you are saying, but we have to come to reality and notice that EVERYTHING offends somebody, I mean yes, you try not to do it and try not to offend others (well only people who atually care dont), but I mean really everythng offends others, I dont think they did it to offend them, their just trying to make a point that their whoppers is better than big mac’s, and people that has never experienced burgers before, will agree with the whoppers. and yog hmoob, why would burger king show that they are getting killed and rapped, no offence but that is happening EVERYWHERE and EVERY country, not only that place. if they showed that you would be complaining b/c they are showin stuff that they dont need to be. and they dont need to be showing that. its happening everywhere not only in thailand.
