More specifically, I am looking for single companies that are willing to sell items in bulk at a wholesale rate.

Something interesting that I've found actually is that many distributors sell huge lots on eBay for solid prices.
I bought a lot of 100 hardcover books a year or two ago, and made a decent profit. I'd suggest media (CDs, DVDs, books) as long as it's new.
