Who, of you, eats only one meal a day and maybe a few snacks?

Does eating one meal a day and a few little snacks keep you slender and healthy? I’d love to hear from people who eat one meal a day. What are your food choices and how do you feel?

Answer #1

I do that actually. Dinner is my only meal (which is LARGE).

It’s not really a healthy lifestyle, but I’m always on the go so I don’t have much of a choice. I try to pick healthier things to munch on though.

It probably makes you gain more weight than lose, since your munching a lot, and when you munch it tends to be non-healthy foods most of the time.

My weight is all over the place because of it, like I randomly drop 5 pounds or gain 5. But I never go above a certain weight (130lb).

I’m also vegetarian though. So what I eat is gonna be VERY different from what other people who do this eat. Unless they’re vegie too… Example: I just had a croissant. I drink a lot of water and orange juice throughout my day, I might have a small bag of chip or a cookie for lunch. At home I munch on like tofu cubes and nuts, cheese and crackers, etc…

Uhmm I feel fine… But I have a friend who does it and she gets really tired… =|

I will have a small breakfast, when my kids have theirs, but I don’t normally eat anything until dinner in the evening, maybe something when I have some coffee but I generally don’t feel hungry during the day.

Of course it isn’t always like that, I will sometimes eat 3 meals a day and maybe snacks too but it doesn’t happen a lot.

Answer #3

I did that when I was in school. I was really unhealthy, almost too thin and felt chronically tired and depressed. The best thing to do is to eat constantly (healthy foods) during the day.

Answer #4

I do that. I only eat brakfast and then in school I eat an apple and then tha is it. I dont really want to be fat!! Not that there is something wrong whit the people who are but you know.:)

Answer #5

I do that :) I dont eat in the morning and in school I can nevver be bothered to buy lunch. I eat a biscuit when I get back, drink lots of water and eat tea :)

Answer #6

the average person eats 2,500 calories per day. you can eat more or less. it matters how many calories you loose per day. for example, Micheal Phelps eats like 10,000 calories per day!!! but! he burns more than 10,000 calories per day because of amount of exorize. I suggest eating like you normally do, but try to get as much exorsie as possible

Answer #7

itll get you thinner but not healthy…

I have toast for breakfast, small dinner like a sandwich (2 pieces of bread) and a big tea like spaghetti bolognese

im not over weight

eat healthly and do some exercises

Answer #8

I eat 2 meals a day, and im a sucker for chocolate and junk food (I should cut down on that :P) but im average size…it will probably catch up to me though…to much of anything isnt good.

but I do know that not eating ENOUGH, is just as bad as eating TO much. You need the nutriants and vitamins and stuff. Try to get at LEAST 3 fruits a day, and sum exersice (30 min. a day) is really good for your heart

good luck!

Answer #9

It’s better to eat 3 small meals and 3 small snacks during the day. You stay full longer and helps your metabolism.

You know, like.. Meal 1: Cereal or toast Snack 1: apple Meal 2: sandwich and veggies..? Snack 2: Yogurt or some veggies Meal 3: Dinner Snack 3: Popsicle.. :)

When I was going to school, I’d wake up so early and not want to eat breakfast.. and at school, I never ate lunch.. so by 2:00, I didn’t eat anything at all, have a snack, eat dinner then go to bed. It wasn’t healthy.. sure I lost weight, but I was always tired and didn’t have much energy. Now I go by that ^ and I’m at a healthy weight and feel better. =]

Answer #10

Does eating one meal a day and a few little snacks keep you slender and healthy?

Slender, possibly, healthy no. I don’t do this and never would because it’s just not good for your body and will make you very unhealthy. It’s actually best if you have 5 small to medium sized meals everyday as it keeps your sugar an nutrient levels more stable. Just eat when you’re hungry, your body is clever, it knows when it is full and when you need to eat :)
