Who has a Caucasian Ovcharka (mountain dog)?

This is a breed that I’ve done very little research on…until tonite. From the general stuffI’m reading, it’s like the northern hemisphere’s counter part to the Fila of Brazil…VERY good with it’s own family (including kids, other pets, etc), but disasterous to strangers, strange dogs, etc. This is just ‘breed information’, not actual people talking about their own Ovcharka’s…

I don’t see where they are considered high reactive, tho (lots of barking night or day, unless there is actually something to make noise about)…I did find a site tho, where actual people are talking about their own personal Ovcharka’s…pretty interesting reading.

I do think tho, that before purchasing one, that you do a LOT of research on them. They are not a dog for just anybody…I’m just saying that they appear to be a dog for people who have the time, and the commitment to devote all their time to this dog, especially in the the first 2 or 3 years.

If you do get one, please let me know about him…they are a very interesting breed.
