Who has a cartilaqe peircinq and please answer this is you do!?

Okay so right I Have a cartilaqe peircing and I got it about onee month aqo and the ladie said not to take it off for 9 weeks! What sucks about it is that they were out of all the good earinqs so I kinda qot stuck with a uqly one but I have a different one that I can use but I would have to take out the one I have now, But the lady said not to take it out for 9 weeks so should I do this, why not if no…

I had myne done. it got infected cus I changed it too fast I know people that has happened to as well you are better off just waiting the alotted time.

It closes pretty fast. So maybe you might want to have someone put it in right as you take it out.

I had mine done, and it got infected because I took it out too fast, Its ok now, but about 8 months ago, I had the opposite side done, and after 2 days it was so infected that my ear swelled so much it swallowed the earring and I had to have surgery to get it removed. It was sooo painful.

You should most definitely leave it in for 9 weeks. The stud they did it with is a special one that is made for new piercings. You cannot put just any other earring through it.

After 9 weeks, if it is okay, you can put a different one in, make sure you sterilize it first (put it in boiling water for like a minute).

If you do it quickly it should be okay. Dont wait like an hour. Just make sure everything is sterile including your hands.
