where can I get a job at age 16?

Look at businesses around the area where you live or near your school. See where other students are working. Unfortunately with the economy, it is harder for teenagers to get jobs. If you are good with kids…look into babysitting jobs…not usually steady hours but you also don’t have to pay taxes on the money you make. Both my teenagers have summer jobs working for a concessions company, going to the fairs around Ohio. Watch because not all concession companies treat their employees as good as where my kids work…I also worked for the same company for 7 summers. Unfortunately this is only summer employment…Keep your eyes open for what jobs are available. Don’t be afraid to try something new…you may find out you are really good at something! Now is the time to experiment and find what you like. If you mess up… as long as you don’t steal money or do something illegal…learn from it…you don’t have to list every job on a resume.
