Where can I get a dog, overseas?

I live in Egypt, I wanted to get a great britain terrier.. we dont have them in Egypt. Is such thing possible to get?

Answer #1

Who said Muslims cant get dogs? We got dogs, my neighbors got dogs, probably an average of 1 every 3 houses has a dog, or some kind of pet. Egypt isn’t 100% Muslims, 30% is Christian, 3% are Jews, that’s to thedude theory. And to you utopia, I’ve raised more than 4 kind dogs in my life, from when they were 50 days old until 4-6 years old. Spanking one of them with a stick, cause he bet my hand, was only once, and she deserved it. I dont want to raise a German Shepherd anymore. Thanks but no thanks for you answers.

It says quite a bit that you have owned dogs for no longer than when they were 4-6 years old. Did they die or did they grow to bore you?

Answer #3

I just read your answer where you talk about beating your dog with a stick… I think you should just leave the animals alone. You don’t need another.

Answer #4

From memory, owning dogs is isn’t OK in Muslim tradition…I can’t recall if your country is 100% Muslim or not, but, at the very least, they have pretty serious religious restrictions as a result of their religion (as do many conservative Muslim countries)…

…what I don’t get is: how can you be unaware of this? You are from Egypt, right?

Answer #5

Who said Muslims cant get dogs? In the 100% Muslim country I live in, there are no dogs. It’s haram.

But, it depends on your interpretation of the Quran, yes?

And, now that I know you beat a dog with a stick…perhaps there is a very, very good reason you shouldn’t get a dog. They’d arrest you in the United States for that kind of behavior.

See, it’s not just a religious issue but a cultural one…if you can’t respect an animal and care for it properly, it makes no sense to have one.

Hi,

It is possible for you to get a dog from overseas, but there are some complications. First of all you would need a lot of money to purchase this dog, Because dogs from different parts of the world are normally very expensive. And the second thing is that you need to study about the facts of the dog you get in order for it to survive in the hot climate of Egypt. If this is succesful than you probably could get a dog from overseas.
