When will my male dog leave my female dog alone?
We have a male dog and a female dog and my female dog is in heat and they have gotten stuck quite a few times already. My male dog is driving this family nuts he follows her around barking and whining all day and night and I dont know how much more we can take. How long does this last?
there are two obvious answers here:
- when she goes out of heat. OR
- when you fix him, her, or both.
It can last from 9 to 21 days. Quick solution would be to “lend” your male dog to a friend for a few weeks. OR you might seriously consider getting them “fixed” since this will happen about twice a year.
