When will I stop growing?

I’m a 14 year old girl and I’m 6ft. I hate it. Everyone else in my school is around 5ft6 and the tallest person near me I know is 5ft 9. I only know one person who’s 6ft2” but she’s much older than me. When will I stop growing & why am I so tall?!

You will stop growing around 19 years of age, but your family physician is the best person to ask, because he/she can do a graph and figure out what curve you are on. It may be a good idea to ask for a blood test to see if all of your hormone levels are where they should be. Don’t despair, you may be hitting your growing spurts now while your friends will be doing the same in 1 or 2 years. You may just be ahead of the curve for the moment. I know it seems like a pain right now, but find out from your paediatrician exactly where you stand. At least you will know for sure.
In North America there is documentation that the foods we eat is affecting the rate at which girls are maturing physically. Ask your doctor if this may be the case, sometimes they recommend switching to organic food, that way there won’t be any growth hormones involved. A professional will always give you better answers than any of these sites, plus they have the advantage of having actual stats. Remember, tall or short, you are unique and wonderful as such. hunny youre not going to stop growinjg until your around age 20…thats when everything stops growing for girls…and I know how you feel, I was 6’0 at 14…and thankfully only grew one more inch in the meantime…im now 21 years old, and love being tall…I hated it though bcs every guy I dated was about 3 inches or soo shorter than me growing up.. now im married to a guy who is 3 inches taller than me :) learn to love your body… and even if you have short bfs thrughout highschool, its ok…most people say opposites attract :)

Being tall is well good. Im only 5 foot 6 and im 15. You could be a model if you are that tall. Its the perfect height! :) x

well I knows what it feels like to be tall …right now I am wondering the same thing (when will I stop grow) but the thing is we did not make our selves soo the most we can do is acept the way we are…I know it might be hard but just thing of your self in other ways not about your height cause I am sure there are a lot of sweet things about u…and besides you are not the tallest female in the world …soo juss love yourself
