when to let newborn puppy outdoors?

I have a three week old mutt puppy, she is the survivor of a litter of three (one was stillborn and the other was born with a hole in its head). This is the first time my dog ever had puppies and I wanted to know what is a good age to allow puppy outdoors? her eyes and ears have been open for a few days now and she has gotten the hang of walking.

Answer #1

when they are about 5 weeks old is fine.

Answer #2

you might want to let your puppy roam around in your room for a couple of weeks and then take him/her out side to your back yard on the leash so the puppy can still have some fun while being trained at the same time

Answer #3

It all depends on what other dogs are around, I like to wait till I take my puppie to to many places until they have had ALL the sets of there puppy vaccines, so for me this would be around 17 weeks, So yes I would take them out to potty but not where many other dogs are.

Answer #4

Wow, that’s horrible about the litter…were the parents both AKC registered and tested for genetic issues before they were bred?
