When my 150 has a heavy load it runs hot
When my f150 is pulling a heavy load (boat) it run hot. When you drive it empty all is well..
Perhaps the boats too heavy? Perhaps the trucks old and has high mileage? Lots of things could cause it. Check all the fluids, might even be good to ask a ford technician about it.
Sounds like you could use a tranny cooler.
