When Frequent Urination Becomes a Problem

At what point does frequent urination become a problem? Like if it isn’t painful should I not go to a doctor? How often does one have to urinate before it is considered serious and doctor worthy?

Answer #1

It is considered a problem when:

  • It effects your every day life.
  • When you avoid doing things because you know you will have to go too many times.
  • When you can’t go somewhere due to the lack of a close bathroom.
  • If you have increased thirst or appetite, fatigue, or sudden weight loss
  • If you do not know the cause to it. (Ex: You’re not pregnant, you don’t drink far too much, etc.)

Even if this isn’t hurting, I’d suggest visiting a doctor. There can be many reasons for frequent urination, so it’s best to get it looked at and treated if necessary.
