When can I legally move out in Texas?

Ok so I’m 15 about to be 16 in about 4 months and I live in the state of Texas. When can I legally move out ?

Age Emancipation petition allowed: under age 18 Age of Majority: 18 § 154.001; § 54.0501 Age for Sexual Consent: 17 § 22.011

It depends on why you want to move. If you just want to move because your parents are abusing or neglecting you in some way, then you should take it to court and they will put you in a different home. If there’s a different reason, that has nothing to do with the law, then you will have to have your parents permission and they must know where you are at all time because you are under the age of 18. When you get to be 18, you can definately move out and do whatever you want. But now, you just have to wait or if your parents are hurting you, seek legal help immediately.

ok, so i dont know why everybody says you cant move out before you are 18. Not true…ive done my research, now you can not move out before you are 17, if you do so then your parents can have the cops force you to come back home, but at age 17 there is absolutly nothing your parents can do to force you home.
Now, just becuase im telling you its legal to leave at 17, doesnt mean im saying go for it. Really think about what your doing befor you do it. Somethings in life you can take back leaving home isnt always one of them….Thinkabout what your doing befor eyou do it….

Legal age to move is 17 and if your parents call the police they can’t do anything.
