When can I give my dog creatine?

I need to make my dog bigger. I want it to look like a miniature clysdale horse. Will it be a bad idea to give my dog actual creatine and run him an exercise him everyday.

There was a hidden camera dog fighting documentary and, sorry, but you sound like one them. They were giving the dogs creatine and steroids and chained them to treadmills until they fell of exhaustion. Sick.

It would be better if you looked for a large pair of dogs to breed, where the puppies would also grow as large as or larger than their parents. Drugs and steroids can also afect the dogs temperment, making it a hazzard to people and likely to be taken away from you or get you arrested if you appear to be using it for illegal means. Personally, I dissagree utterly with using chemicals or formulas to change an animals genetic make-up.

I’m not gonna jump to conclusions on your reasons for wanting a dog like that, all I would say is don’t get a large dog like that at all - but PLEASE do it the safest, least harmful and most human and natural method possible, if you’re gonna do it.

If you wanted a dog that “looks like a mini-Clydesdale”, then you should have spent your time looking for VERY LARGE parents, who’s pups would also be very large. A large dog pup needs to grow slower than small dogs…if you put a ton of muscle and weight on un-developed joints, you’re very likely to cripple your dog as he matures…his joints and bone plates don’t harden until he’s around 12 to 14 months.

By that time, he may just surprise you and grow into a dog big enough to satisfy you. You can’t change his genetic makeup…

Giving dogs Creatine is a controversial issue. Many people believe you shouldn’t give animals nutritional supplements intended for humans and others insist creatine is found in dogs and other animals naturally and won’t hurt them. I just don’t understand why you would want to give your dog creatine to begin with. A healthy diet of good quality dog food intended for large breed dogs and regular exercise will most likely give your dog all the strength and muscle mass it needs for regular activity. It is unfair for you to want your dog to be something it isn’t and wanting your dog to look like a ‘miniature Clydesdale horse’ is not a realistic goal. I shudder to think why you may ‘NEED’ your dog to be bigger. I will remind you that dog fighting is not only obscenely cruel and sick, it is also illegal.
