Whats up with my phone?

ok I got he new samsung genio touch and the little circles on the back cover always looked like orangey brown colour, and I looked today they wer bright green, I thought I was going mad but I think I figured it out if it goes cold it turns green and if its warm it stays brown, I THINK anybody have 1? is that what it is?
