What's the obsession with drinking?

I’m 13, and like everyone alse my age is like “yeah I got p!ssed last night, I had 12 wkd’s”, I’m like I dont care, I really do not care. I don’t get why people get so impressed by drinking, im like don’t want get drunk (maybe it’s because my dad an alcoholic, but you know). I don’t have the mental urge to get drunk? everyone else does why don’t I?

because there’s an age limit on when you can drink, kids think that drinking and getting pissed makes them look older and / or more mature.

im about to turn 15 and ALL of my friends drink. I don’t. at all. but the biggest reason I don’t do it is becauseee.. my biggest fear of all time is throwing up. andd I know if you get too drunk, then whoops, you puke. sooo thats the reason I don’t do it :]

Well a lot of drinking done at that age is due to peer pressure and wanting to fit in and look cool. Honestly I didnt drink till I turned 18 (which is when it’s legal where I come from) but I’m guessing that’s part of the reason…

peer pressure, dont drink it’s not cool and it ages you faster.
