What's a good surveillance system DVR?

The DVR for the surveillance system at work die just yesterday and I’m trying to find a new one. But I don’t really know much about them. Just looking for something well made that can take at least 8 cameras and the remote view through a web browser doesn’t completely suck. We have a Q-See that died after about 2yrs and the remove view only worked through IE and it was terrible. Always crashing and locking up. Menu’s were a pain to use on the system too. So I don’t think we want another Q-See. Other than that IDK. Anyone have some experience here??
