What's the strumming pattern for the song "Arms" by Christina Perri on the acoustic guitar?

Mostly, it’s cross picking, which I even have problems with, but it’ll probly sound fine just going up and and down on the bottom 4 strings but hit the base string too, if you don’t want to figure out cross picking :) Good luck!

For the first verse and chorus, there are two or three different finger-picking patterns, not so much strumming. The strumming pattern appears fairly clearly in the second verse/chorus, from 1:47 to 2:09. If you count each measure as 8 beats (it’s actually in 4/4 time, but uses a syncopated rhythm of 8 eighth-note beats), the accents are on the first, fourth, and sixth beats, the sixth being an upstroke. Her playing of the unaccented beats varies a bit from measure to measure; the main thing is not to be too heavy-handed about them.

Oops, not the second verse; just the second chorus. The same pattern should work fine for the verses too, or you might want to switch to a simpler, less syncopated strum, just to highlight the verse/chorus transitions. .
