What's the difference between string beans and green beans?

They are just two different names for the same thing. They were originally called string beans because there was a “string” that grew along the side of the pod, but through breeding that was eliminated. That is when people started using the term green bean.

I believe they r both one in the same

well sometimes for me something i gross cuz the texture or how it is. such as mash potatoes still taste like a potatoe but the texture makes me gag but i love french fries lol

They appearance of the beans is what gives them to different names. Their length, pod size, and the size of the bean all determine this.
