The difference between string beans and green beans is relative to the difference between two different types of any food (ex: red potatoes and whole potatoes, sweet onions and green onions.)
They appearance of the beans is what gives them to different names. Their length, pod size, and the size of the bean all determine this.
They are just two different names for the same thing. They were originally called string beans because there was a "string" that grew along the side of the pod, but through breeding that was eliminated. That is when people started using the term green bean.
well sometimes for me something i gross cuz the texture or how it is. such as mash potatoes still taste like a potatoe but the texture makes me gag but i love french fries lol

Well string beans r kinda stringy and regular green beans aren't, regular green beans taste better to me, as far as nutritional value I think thr the same
I believe they r both one in the same
