Ive always liked gibson and fenders. They are pretty pricey though. You can find amazing deals on slightly used guitars at pawn shops, craigslist, and your local newspaper though. Ive seen 1,000 dollar guitars in pawn shops selling for 300-400. When people are desperate for money, guitars and things are usually the first things they sell.

Ibanez is a great beginners guitar and they arent real expensive
