What will they say about anger?

Okay, well, I have a debate at school tomorrow for psychology class, and I’m supporting that anger comes from genetics and the opposing side is supporting that anger comes from envrionment and surroundings. Not asking for answers for my side, but anyone give any suggestions as to what they may say. because I just cannot find anything on the web that supports anger coming from surroundings and you renvironment. the only evidences I’ve found that support anger coming from genetics, are, I’m going to give a false testimony(because my teacher picked the topics and sides for us, and wants us to make a false name and persona.) stating how me, my father and grandfather and two brothers all tend to get angry a lot, and that’s why my son has anger problems, and there’s this anger gene that is found in people. thhanks

Answer #1

What they may say? Well I dont know if this will be something they use, but a lot of kids who were abused (30%) become abusive… so violence begets violence…

Answer #2

Let me tell you about my own experience.

I was with an abusive man and had a child with him. The relationship failed when my son was only a baby.

My son is now 13 and has not seen his father since the break-up. He shows all the signs of the same temperament his father had, despite being raised by myself and a very loving step-father.

If that is not proof of genetics, then I don’t know what is!

Answer #3

It’s a combination of both…this is a difficult debate.
