Info:

Tanning beds don’t offer a safe alternative to natural sunlight. Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation damages your skin, whether the exposure comes from tanning beds or natural sunlight. This damage increases the risk of skin cancer and premature skin aging. In fact, most tanning beds emit mainly UVA rays — which may increase the risk of melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer. If you want the golden glow of a tan without exposure to damaging UV radiation, consider using a sunless tanning product. Avoid tanning beds, and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen whenever you’re outdoors.

I agree with above posts about the negative effects of tanning beds. If you still choose to go with it, as I did in my younger years, go in with your bithday suit. There were a couple times I got burned-so I would suggest limiting your time in them along with using some sun screen.

Tanning bed do more harm than good - Anyways most people wear nothing (to prevent tan lines). Nobody sees you so it’s no big deal. But if that’s something you aren’t comfortable with then wear your bra and panties.

Really though - the mystic spray on tans are so much better, they look real and don’t harm you at all.

My wife used to use a tanning salon and when she came home you could smell the burned flesh. I can’t believe a doctor told you to use one.

I’ve lived in Florida for the past 30 years and all the snowbirds that come to visit get a coating of 50 spf the first day 25 the next 50 the next and so on until they get a natural gentle tan. And keep putting it on, not just once but every couple of hours. Works much better and costs less as well. And I think a dermatologist would tell you the same, or he/she might tell you to live in 50 spf with clothes - but you got to have fun or it just seems like you live a long time.

All I hear is that it can give you skin cancer.
