My dad's birthday is coming up, and im only spending 45 dollars on him sinse he never wants anything. He loves cooking, working on the house, building and repairing things, working with tools, fishing, and he can use an update in his wardrobe. He is turning 38. I know that I am getting him axe stuff, but what else?

well if he likes fishing you could get him fishing gear like.., fish hooks, bait, a new fishing pole, water bobbers, stuff like that. I got my step dad that for his b-day and he liked it. u're dad might too, or you could try a t-shirt that says best dad ever, that's also what I got him he laughed at me it made him feel good. lol
ummm... get him a really nice shirt... something down to earth... scince he likes fishing... I'm thinging an AE polo or maybe a fishing vest... then scince he loves cooking... maybe you can suggest on what to cook and cook it with him... why not a pizza topped with all your favorite toppings!

Well I think the best thing to do is just spend time with him. Do something he wants to do and make it about him. Take him to a movie or go golfing with him.
Maybe a nice plaque to go over the stove or over the doorway as you enter, exclaiming 'World's Greatest Cook / Dad'
get him stuff he likes, like choclet or candy
