Ok If my girlfriend wants to loose weight what should I tell her?
Be careful with this...my girlfriend, who has put on fifteen or twenty pounds in the last year, said she wanted to shape up as well, and when I said I would support this (we joined the gym together to this end) she got pretty upset with me. She felt hurt and I felt backed into a corner when she asked me if I would be happier if she lost ten pounds (either be honest and hurtful or lie and feel resentful). The end result is a topic which is off limits as far as she is concerned and a source of resentment as far as I am concerned. What's the solution? I wish I knew. But be forewarned that this is a sensitive topic even for women who claim to want encouragement and support.
well if you told her that you like her the way she is and she still wants to then all you can do is be supportive I guess...
my girlfriend said the same thing... and I told her that I absolutely loved her body the way it was... but if still she really wanted to lose weight then I would work out with her and support her.
That she is perfect the way she is and shouldn't change herself unless it's to make her happy... hell you must think she's pretty if your going out with her.
I told here I didn't like it but she wants to I really don't know what to do?
Well you must have some opinion of your own -- do you agree with her or not?
