I want a snow board but I dont know what size get or kind or anything, I'm a beginner and im about 5'6, what should I get?
I'm 5 foot 6, and I use a 152...longer boards are better for downhill, shorter are better for free style.
So the length I use is a bit in between, but after a bad wreck a few years ago, I avoid jumps :)
Burton is the only brand I've purchased before, they work pretty well, but really any of them are "good" unless you're an expert, you'd have a hard time feeling the difference while boarding.
The length of your board is supposed to fit in between your collarbone and your chin when your standing it up next to you. At least that's what I've been told. You could go for a 149 or a 152. I'm so jealous your getting a board for christmas lol. I'm itching to get out this season but unfortunately I can't. It sucks big time.
Just get a basic board thats around your height...
Honestly just go into a store that sells them and ask the people there... They'll be able to help you out best, and it'd make life easier just to do it all at once instead of asking around =P
Haha thank you and I would but I'm getting it for a christmas gift and its suppose to be a "suprise"so I have to know all the info so they can ge tthe right one but thank youu (:
Aww ): And thank you !
