What should I do with my best friend who I really like?

So I have known this girl for four years. We actually became friends after dating for a few months. Then she broke it off in a weird way so I moved on. A year and a half later we became reay good friends and we had both changed a lot since our dating days. I began falling in love with her I helped her through all the crap she was going through and when I finally told her how I felt she said she didn’t feel the same way. I have liked her on and off evr since now we are getting really close again. I talk to her every night for 2 plus hours but she has a man right now that she really likes and I know she would never leave him for me. So what should I do back off because I am falling for her all over again or stay the same and hope that in the end she may actually like me and see how much o care?

dude, I suggest you stop torturing yourself and move on. :S if you’ve already told her how you feel and she still didnt leave his boyfriend for now, then maybe you should start looking for someone else. good luck.

I think you should still be her friend, especially if you help her a lot. She’ll need that support as a friend, and not as a boyfriend. Maybe one day she’ll see you as dating potential again, but it’s not a promise that you can say by sticking to her side. My friend had a girlfriend, and I liked him. I didn’t want to be too troubling or be a homewrecker, so I stopped talking to him. Little did I know that he liked me too and that he was willing to break up with her =__= ANYWAYS! Don’t be a homewrecker, but at least be a good friend to her. She’ll appreciate it :3
