What should I do about my puppy not eating?

A six month old puppy drank alcohol and you didn’t have a vet look at him? If a six month old baby did it, would you take him to the hospital?

He’s obviously pretty sick…I think you’ve waited long enough for that vet visit.

Well first of all I wasn’t even home I was at work when this supposably happend my fiance was pickin me up and my brother and friends were home and apparently when they were all outside including my puppy they had their drinks on the floor and he’s big on drinking water so he went for it I don’t know how much he consumed and trust me if I was home or my fiance it wouldn’t have never happend. The problem is my vet isn’t open on sundays so I have to bring him tomorrow

How much did this pup drink? And what was it mixed with? Alcohol has a pretty short half-life, so while it might do a little harm to the liver, but unless it was a GREAT deal of alcohol, then it doesn’t make sense that he is still sick.

I can’t help but think there is more going on than just his lapping up a drink two nights ago…I’d get him into the Vet ASAP…Kidney failure can kill in 72 hours…

Wow, I really hope that puppy is okay. Get it to the pet hospital as soon as possible.

Try giving it weetabix and then if it stilll doesn’t eat take it to the vet and get it checked out

Lol do you know how many rednecks give their dogs drinks?ALOT of them.Although i don’t think you should freak out,you should have made him puke,the alcohol can have lasting effects in the lining of his stomach that can make him not want to eat properly.

Just think about it,have you ever been drunk with a hangover?The laaasst thing you want to do is eat.I would give him lots of bread and stuff that will soak it up.And beside it’s a pit bull,they can eat almost anything and still have no side effect,the breed is virtually idiot proof!

But I would make sure that he has had ALL shots and that it’s not parvo,if you haven’t had him checked by a vet,then look into his eyes and if they seem puffy,or just sad looking,then take him in before it’s too late!
