What should I do about my body?

Ok so I have gone over a year without a period and dont get me wrong its been nice but it worries me. I have a thyroid problem and I know that is a factor but it started again about 5 months ago but only has been every other month! To top that off I get really sharp pains in my lower abdomen…its definetly not your normal everyday cramps. A friend of mine told me to get checked for pcos again and also make sure im not going to have a ectopic pregnancy. Any advice would be helpful.

its actually an underactive thyroid. and yes I have many other problems. I have been to see a dietician and I have been eating very healthy. thank your for the advice. I will have to wait until I am out of the military to see a specialist for any of it because I am weeks away from finalizing my medical discharge.

Answer #2

I already am honestly not to be mean but that didnt help at all. I am trying to get input from other people because my doctors have not been much help.

What type of thyroid problem do you have? I’m presuming overactive, which makes you underweight?

I suggest that you speak to your doctor (gynecologist) as well as a dietitian, I have a sneaky feeling that your irregular period has a lot to do with what you are eating in combination with your thyroid problem.

In any case first step would be to go for a check up and to find out if you have anything except for the thyroid that is physically wrong with you.
