Should I use the Monistat 3 before seeing a doctor?

I was just wondering. Youh see I got this thing called monistat 3 because I feel I may have a yeast infection. Well the only symptom I have now is smelly discharge but before I had all the symptoms but they all went away without using anything for it. I would like to know should I use the monistat 3 before I go to the doctors? Or should I see the doctor first?

See your dr. first because each person experiences infections differently .Usually yeast infections have a discharge that is abnormal kind described as “cottage cheese” like. Sometimes it’s whitish, sometimes it’s yellowish..It usually has a starchy kind of smell too..The main symptom is really the itching and the burning. Maybe what you took for the yeast infection wasnt strong enough. or maybe you have something like Bacterial Vaginosis, which is confused with yeast infections a lot. It has a discharge like a yeast infection except it has a more fishy smell and is thin and watery. There is still all the itching and burning just like a yeast infection though. Yeast infections and Bacterial Vaginosis are treated almost the same way…a cream that is inserted with an applicator and a topical cream for the external itching..but with BV you cant get anything for it over the counter..thats why its important to go to the doctor to figure out which one it is. Definitely see the doctor first. It may be a bacterial infection, and you should get proper treatment. It may not even be a yeast infection.
