Hi, I certainly have empathy and understanding for your desire to lose weight. First, you should talk to a doctor and receive professional advice.

Now, I will tell you how I lost weight. I used to weigh about 280lbs at my peak. That was in 2006. I now weigh 170lbs and am very happy with my weight considering I am a 6’1” male.

Some simple, general things I did to lose weight that worked for me:

drink water, and lots of it - no diet sodas, coffee, tea, ONLY water

count calories - I was eating 1500-1800 calories per day, only eat foods with labeled calories

fat/protein/carbs - try to get most of your calories from protein, avoid fats first, then avoid carbs (99% of extra fat calories are turned to body fat, only about 70% of extra carb calories because they require more metabolism to convert) despite the low-carb trend diets, eating extra carbs is better than eating extra fat

Protein shakes - look into protein mixes, go for about 110 calories per shake, drinking one of these every hour between meals will substantially reduce your inter-meal hunger

Eat early - eat all of your meals early, try to eat your last food by 5 or 6pm in the day, don’t eat late, this increases the liklihood that the calories will be stored

Good luck

uhm 5’8 and a 100 pounds put you at the level of anorexia… 120 pounds makes you underweight… at your current weight, you’re well within normal ranges… you’re hardly fat… stop looking at the weighing scale… (120 is for short people, or anorexic looking models), if you want to fitten up, go to the gym…

A friend of mine went on Weight Watchers to lose her pregnancy weight and she did REALLY well at it, you could try that, it’s what I’m planning on doing after my baby is born.
