How much schooling for a job that helps people?

So I was just thinking about what I wanted to be when I got older and I have started to realize that I love to help people and give them adive. I have been told that I am good at it and that I have helped people make some pretty good choices, plus I have been through a lot and I am only 14. I know it’s a little early to be thinking about my future career, but I would like to know what are some jobs that I can do that are about advice, self-motivation, helping others, thearapy and stuff like that. Also what kind of education do I need to advance in any of these?

It’s great that you are thinking in advance what you want to do. :)

Community services would be a good start. Because you are only 14, you will be limited in what you can actually do at the moment, but do not let that discourage you, maybe ask your parents if you can volunteer to do some work experience at a retirement hostel or, help kids in hospitals who are sick. You will not get paid for it, but the experience will open your eyes to what the job requires.

Nursing would be another avenue but will require you to go to university for at least 3 years full-time or 6 years part-time. (Only if you are in Oz).

A nursing aid or a nurse assistant could be something to look into. You do not have to go to university but the duties you carry out is pretty simple, without all the jazz. One of my girlfriend works as a physiotheraphy assistant and she loves it so much she’s trying her best to get accepted into university to get the qualification.
