What is wrong with my newely pierced ear- help ?

About two weeks ago, I got my ears pierced (second hole in the lobe) they were fine until I woke up and because the ball on the stud was so tiny it had gone into my ear. I had to change my earrings so I put in silver studs that were bigger that I know im not allergic too. Now, the hole itself is absolutely fine but around it and all over my lope its crusty, a yellowish red colour. It doesnt hurt to touch but its very itchy. Im not sure whats wrong or what to do help!

Answer #1

Obviously they’re infected. Just dont change the earing no more and clean it with antiseptic. It doesnt sound helpful, because its too simple but it will work

Answer #2

well do you clean them every night..because if you dont you may have a lil infection im guessin…but try cleanin dem more den you usually do

Answer #3

but its not the hole its just around it, thats what I dont get. the hole is fine. hmm, okay well thanks [=

Answer #4

they are infected you shudnt have changed them, and the fact that the other earing ball went it. it happens to me. and you are supposed to keep turning them. I forgot to keep turning mine and my skin actually got stuck to the earing and I had to forcefully turn it. I got my second holes done a year ago they are fine now but they were infected for a while because of that.

Answer #5

will that work for around the hole? this is frustrating lol I just want it to go away. I’ll be wearing my hair down for a while. Also I’ve heard that he salt and warm water method would work to help the healing, how many times a day should I be doing that?

Answer #6

sorry abt that bt I suggest that you use surgical spirit wch you cud gt a your local pharmacy try using it everyday 2 clean your hole using cotton

Answer #7

what should I clean it with? I’ve found that using the cleaning antiseptic that Claire’s gave me dries out my eyes which makes them even more irritated and itchy. Theres nothing really wrong with the hole, but around it and around my first one its getting pretty bad. Thanks a lot for your help

Answer #8

I got them done at claires with a friend. hers a fine, I dont know what happened to mine. she also changed hers because they were to small but this hasnt happened to her.

Answer #9

were your ears professionally pierced?

Answer #10

This happened to me also. Your ears were simply stressed from the small stud and they may be slightly infected. Keep scratching off the crust until it heals, keep the earring in and if it is elevated which may mean it is quite infected. This can happen even if you aren’t allergic to the metal and sometimes you may have to (this will sound gross) squeeze the infection out of the hole like a giant pimple.

Answer #11

I usually use paroxide to clean out the holes , I’m not sure how much of a help it is though haha

Answer #12

hmmm okay, thanks anyways [=
