What is the difference between diabetes and hypoglycemia?

What is the difference between hypoglycemia and diabetes? I’m hypoglycemic but I’ve been told that I’m not diabetic. My doctor failed to really inform me on how much the two are related. I’ve been researching it online and from what I’ve found, sounds like a person who is already diabetic is more common to become hypoglycemic. Can anyone help clear things up for me so I don’t have to make a doctor’s appointment just to go talk?

I dont know a large amount about this subject, but I can give you the VERY basic difference. Hypoglicemia is when you often have blood sugar levels that are too low. Diabetics typically have a problem with high blood sugar due to the pancreas failing to change sugar into insulin. Sorry I can’t help more!
