I have to do some homework for school about organic and inorganic materials. Would satin be inorganic or inorganic? In other words did it once come from something that was alive such as a tree or plant? Help would be apreciated :)
Satin is a method of weaving fabric, not the fabric itself. As such, it can be made out of organic materials like silk or cotton or inorganic materials like polyester.
mikeh is right. Satin is typicall made with silk, nylon or polyester.
If made with silk it is organic.
If made with nylon or polyester it would be inorganic.
it's organic.
