What is media enforcing to children these days?

Dosen’t it make you sick to hear such songs being listened to/ music viedos watched by children!! Most may think that kids are to innocet to understand and not smart enough to catch on!! - but trust me… They all eventually do!! From songs like superman - soulja boy, if you seek amy - britnay, blah blah blah - ke$ha… The sexual content in them is becoming more and more extreme… The music viedo telephone - gaga and beyonce… It’s music viedo “wowed” me!! (sexual and violent) how do you think kids will be perciving these “role models” of theirs? Don’t you think it’s gotten overboard?

Out of topic - isn’t the “pu55y wagon” in the end of the viedo taken from kill bill? And is it just me or is that where they took the idea of the whole homocide?

I think its terrible. Like look at our age group… Drugs sex gangs excessive drinking… and we have not had this all out lives like the new generation will.

Every time you turn on the TV, its almost guaranteed that half the channels will be talking about something like that. Its all around them, and in 15 years we will be blaming them for their actions. It wont be their fault, they are growing up seeing it everywhere, parties, drugs, sex… A child’s brain thinks what they see adults doing is what is right.

It scares me to think what future children will be like.

I don’t know about the kill bill stuff but yes, the media is out of control, but its never going to be less provocative because unfortuanlty, sex sells even to kids sex is all over the media, magazines, music videos, backup dancing, video clips, movies, adds, ect…everywhere kids see there celebrity idols and imitate what they see and because the media forces kids and child actors to grow up faster than they should (grown up shows, songs, and dress like grown ups) kids are growing up faster than they ever should were seeing kids 10 and under with eating disorders because there celebrity idols are so thin, were seeing kids younger than 13 having sex because its all over the media and all the other kids are talking about it, there’s now bikinis and high heels made for toddlers and shows in America like toddlers and tiaras (child beauty pageants) just force babies and children to grow up by being told to dance like hookers and be covered in fake tan and make-up sex is everywhere and its seen as acceptable now even Miley Cyrus seemed to get away with dancing around a pole on top of an ice-cream truck a kids award show and pretty much every music videos on TV aimed at kids either has lyrics related to sex or the dancing, which is almost always also related to sex the pussycat dolls are another group I find disgusting as there dressed as prostitutes ( fishnets, leather, spikes, push-up bras, revealing clothing and promiscuous dancing and songs) and kids watch that, also Brittany, Christina Aguilera, and other common pop singers aren’t helping anyone

im sick of seeing all this crap everywere on tv and everywere else but unfortunantly, its only going to get worse

I tottally agree ^. im a 13 year old myself and I know from right & wrong. sure I watch those provacative videos but im not going to wear fishnets and push up bras and start having sex. remember only some teens do this. and you can search this up…[: sure it feels that way but its not true.there are areas in the u.s. where it feels like that like where im from. Remember, we are living in an era where technology is so advanced, we can basically get whatever we want eg: news, videos, musics, games, by a click of a mouse button.

To answer your question, I personally do not think the media is forcing children to be ‘sexual’ or ‘violent’ in their early stages. Most teenagers now-a-day, are sassier, know how to dress fashionable then what our mums used too. We know about the birds and the bees at school without needing to ask our parents.

Kids are worldlier than our parents and grandparents, and I think the media has contributed positively to this.

I would much rather grow up being exposed to sexy and violent videos and music clips from the media, then to grow up being sheltered and living my life as if I’m a mushroom without exposure to the real stuff that are happening. Let’s face it, the world isn’t a peaceful, happy go lucky planet like our cartoon make-believe fantasy land where every thing is perfect.
