What is it with me and men?

well I know something but im not sure you’ll listen. my girlfriend had the same problem before I was with her. try lowering your standards some and dont dont go for bad a** guys because they are always abusers. but try to get to know guys for a good period of time before trying to get with them. if they really love you the most then they will wait.

I have had the same experience. I realise now that not all the men you meet when you pray for a man are necessarily God’s answer. You have to exercise discernment too. The other thing is to manage your boundaries. You have to remain clear about what you will not tolerate and also what you expect. This is based on your self-esteem. After you meet someone you have to manage the relationship and make it work. No matter how well things start out, they can go wrong but it takes two willing adults to work it out together. It is also important that you maintain your own life. You have a worth and an identity too. Set your own goals. Your relationship with a man is an aspect of your life but you shouldn’t hang everything on that.
