What is a juggalo?

I know of the six joker cards. I know most of the bands. But why do they sing about demons, killing, religion, etc? Do most Juggalos go to hell or heaven? Whats the purpose of the make up? How can I represent Juggalos? Are the gang related? What do I say when people ask me what is a Juggalo?

Okay, I used to be a juggalette (female juggalo) and people asked what it is all the time. here’s the answer I gave them: a juggalette is someone who’s not afraid to be who they want to be, listen to what they want, wear what they want, and act how they want. we love faygo, and my boyfriend used to be a juggalo. he and his best friend walked through k-mart spraying people with faygo. they do the craziest things, mainly to prove they don’t give a crap about what others think. they sing about murdering people because the members of ICP were raised in downtown Detroit. They grew up around it. They aren’t really saying “hey, go out and kill people” they are saying “hey, this is how we used to live. this is how people there have to get by. these are the things people do to stay alive.” juggalo isn’t a religion, however most juggalos/juggalettes do not have a religion, are athiests, agnostic, etc. I’m a Christian, and that’s why I gave up on being a juggalette. It’s not what God wanted. But there are some Christian juggalos/juggalettes. The purpose of the makeup: once again, not caring what others think. they look like clowns to represent the fact that they don’t care about making a fool out of themselves. No, they are not gang related. Some schools and businesses and such believe that, but it’s a lie. Yeah, there are some Juggalos and juggalettes that are in gangs, but it’s the ones that take the lyrics too far in their day to day life style. When people ask you what a juggalo is, just tell them that they are the freaks of this world. the ones who don’t care about what society sees in them. Hope I helped. (:

I am a juggalette myself…and at the moment I wouldnt know how to explain what a juggalo is or how to be a juggalo… HAHA …so here it is…Juggalo or Juggalette (the latter being feminine) is a name given to fans of Insane Clown Posse or any other Psychopathic Records hip hop group. Juggalos have developed their own idioms, slang and characteristics…The term originated during a live performance by ICP. During the song “The Juggla”, Violent J addressed the audience as Juggalos, and the positive response resulted in Violent and Shaggy 2 Dope using the word thereafter to refer to themselves and their friends, family, and fans, including other Psychopathic Records artists…ICP and Psychopathic Records have stated that there is no true definition of a Juggalo. In a press release from ICP, Violent and Shaggy said “there are no requirements to being a Juggalo. We don’t care if you spend a dime on merch, or if you know the words to every song. If this music touches you, and you get some positive experience from it, we would be honored to have you consider yourself a Juggalo.” In a 2005 interview, Shaggy 2 Dope explained, “you could be a Juggalo and not even listen to ICP. A Juggalo is a frame of mind and what not. And I was a Juggalo before we started with ICP. You don’t even have to fuckin’ necessarily listen to be a Juggalo. Confused individuals that are a product of the break down of the white middle class/lower class family, hero worship, and the emasculatory expectations of society. Usually characterized as indolent, witless, overly self-glorifying, and speak a lot of * about anyone but are never concerned about backing it up because they won’t. All these traits are an attempt for a cohesive group structure that accepts them and will tolerate their unfounded angst/effeminate banter or actions. A purely American occurance that is a scourge on par with Chavs and Wiggers.

I take extreme offense to that. You don’t know every juggalo or why they are who they are. What you’ve said is fcked up. I can almost guarantee I have more “wit” as you say, in my pinky toe than you do in your entire body twice over. Good day.
