What is a "chi" straightener?

I was reading one of the blogs about the dangers of straightening your hair every days, and it seems like the general concensus was that it could be done w a little risk, but the best way to go was with heat blocking conditioner and a “chi” straightener? My fiance straightens her hair every single day, I know she wont stop, so I figure I may as well find the least harmful way! thanks!!

I have a chi hair straightener and I love it. I usually straighten my hair daily and my hair doesn’t fry or look damaged, and I usually get compliments on how my hair looks. they’re a bit pricey, but they’re worth it!

well they say supposedly chi is the best, but it damages the hair a lot, I have one name “amika” and my hair is not damaged whatsoever I reccomend “amika” better.

For me , Remington works reallly well. Better than Chi or Paul Mitchel. You can get it in USA at Target or Walmart. It’s a wet to dry straightner that eliminates blowdrying.. and it sounds horrible to use.. but actually its really good. my hair is so healthy.

so how it works, there is a steam setting you can put it on , you can straighten your hair when its wet so that you dont have to take hours blowdrying. It sizzles when it comes in contact with wet hair , but thatsjust from the heat and water together.

So .. when you straighten it wet , it releases the steam into the air , so that its not being held inside & so that it doesnt ruin your hair.

My hair is pretty long and thick .. and my hair takes about twwo minutes to straihten . PIN straight. & i dont like having my hair not straight .. soo i straighten it everyday … and my hair is so healthy .
