What if I cant reach my mirena birth control string?
I know this is personal and gross but, if I cant feel the string of my mirena birth control my fingers are to short, and my boyfriend when he sticks his hand as far as he can and he doesnt say anything about a string is it still there? Or am I screwed
You’re not supposed to be able to feel it - the point is to make it the least intrusive as possible…don’t worry about it.
You are not supposed to remove the Mirena IUD yourself. You can tear or rip something inside of you if you do…you are supposed to have your doctor remove it with the same tool it was inserted with. It closes it back up instead of leaving it in a ‘T’ shape which allows it to be removed safely. Call your gynecologist and explain to them the reason you want it removed and schedule an appointment. Do not remove it yourself.
