Okay so I have Windows and in that little Start thing I clicked Sims 3 so I could play it and then it said something like: Couldn't find folder or something. So it said delete from list and I though I was like restoring I don't know why I thought that but... It got deleted and now if I wanna play it I will have to reinstall it. If I reinstall it will I lose all my data? Is there a way to get it back?
your sims 3 data is in your documents folder..
youll see a folder called EA or Electronic Arts... in that folder youll see another folder called Sims 3...
now all you do is drag and drop that folder to desktop - delete the empty EA/Electronic Arts folder - uninstall sims 3 - restart your computer - reinstall sims 3
then drag your backed up data back to inside the EA/Electronic Arts folder
and your all ready to go ;)
edit:... unknown to me but... you might have to create your account again before teh sims 3 folder appears inside the electronic arts 1 ;)
so have a look in there after youve installed and if the sims 3 folder isnt there boot up sims 3 and create the same named account, close sims 3 and drag and drop the back up back in.. or like I said at first you might get away with just dropping it in straght after the reinstall :)
