what goes on the dayyy of your sweet 16?

Im having a big sweet 16 party in a couple of months. I’ve never been to one so im wondering what happens. Im catholic and I heard theres a ceremony at the church. I wanna know what thats like. And what happens after that? and if you had a sweet 16 what was your day like? your entrance to the party? Candle ceremony? Father daughter dance? Video montage? and anythin else you did. im clueless. The more detail the better!:D thank you so much for all your help!!! :)

Okay my sis turned 20 today and this is what she did on her sweet 16

Went to a big party place ball room thingyyy (it was fancy lets just say lol) Had a DJ and they danced for a while Video montage Father daughter dance Candle ceremony (as you blow out the candles, each one goes out to somebody/family that is special to you, and you say something about them) You dont need to do a special entrence, my sis didnt, but you can. You can customize your party however you want, certain themes (hers was a ballernia thing)

I never heard of a special ceremony at a church to be honest with you…My sister didnt, and I dont think I will. But then again my family and I arent big church goers, lol. It might be an actual thing, im not sure, im sure you can look it up online and find out. :)
