What dog to get?

I want to get a dog as a pet. I have a small apartment. What kind of dog would you suggest?

Answer #1

Get a Shia - tzu! I had 7 of them are they are very good dogs. No shedding, no hair, no hassel! They are the easiest dogs to train, and very playful and lovable! Highly reccommended.

Answer #2

I breed Chihuahuas and I own #8. I can’t imagine what life would be like without them. They are great little dogs, and alot of fun! I call them “Little Dogs with Big Hearts”!

Answer #3

Answer #4

Please think of getting a rescue greyhound. The gentlest loving souls you could wish for. I live in an appartment, having rescued greys for nearly 30 years I now have a rescued sloughi (egyptian greyhound) and like the greys, do not need a lot of exercise and are happy just lounging about, going for a walk with you, when nesessary!!!

Answer #5

dont get a big dog he will reck your place i have a chihihuahua but they are to energetic and get really sad if u dont play alot with them. i suggest getting a pug they are really salm and very friendly!:)

Answer #6

Toy Fox terriers rule.

Answer #7

When I lived in an appartment I got a papillion. Papillions are about the smartest and easiest to train of the toy breeds and they are really cute. They aren’t real common so you might have to hunt for a breeder. My appartment had a patio where he could do his business while I was at work. I got a doggie door that fit into my window so he could go out when he needed to. I also owned a chihuahua but was never fully successful housetraining it. Chihuahua are so small they think that the other side of an apartment is far enough away to do their business; we had to block off half of the apartment with kiddie gates to keep our chihuahua from going inside. Chihuahua are also not good in cold weather so in the winter or when it rains they will not want to go out to void.

Answer #8

toy poodles are always great they are calm and really loveable and if u get a puppy they arent hard to care for as a puppy or when they get older u can really teach then things when they are a puppy and they never forget. we have one n we taught her how to sit but when she was a puppy u could nod ur head 2 times n she will lay n she thinks its sit lol but shes really cute and they are adorable

Answer #11

Pugs can get really ugly.

Answer #12

I own 5 chihuahua’s that I absolutely adore!

Answer #13

get one that will stay the same size it is but an active one.

Answer #14

small dog/ chihuahia/ i have miniture deer legs also

Answer #15

I suggest a bishon. I know somebody who lives in a very small house, and she used to have one. And since theyre small, they wont feel too squished.

Answer #16

Get a dog that suits your lifestyle.. Do not let living in an apartment limit you as to what breed you choose… Dogs should not be running around in the house anyways so I don’t think you need all that much space really. I live in an apartment and have a very active dog (ACD blue heeler) he has plenty of toys for when im not around and I walk him at least 4 times a day.. Choose something that you will be happy with.. all the best.

Answer #17

I know it’s a little late to be answering this question, but here we go. Don’t get a Jack Russel Terrier. They are much to hyper. A Yorkie is a great dog, but require much potty-training attention. Labradoodles are always well behaved and are usually already potty-trained. Bichon’s pee everywhere and are extremely hard to train. Basset hounds are cute, but not too intelligent. Golden Retrievers are active, and very loyal. Great jogging partners! I hope I gave you some good dog ideas for you.
