What does it mean when your daughter is staying home from hanging out with friends and getting very attached to her pet dogs like she did when she was little? She has also started using a sippy cup, again. She always seems to sleep 11 hours a day, too. I'm just wondering if I should be worried. What does this mean? Is she stressed? Or sad? Worried? I don't know.
how old is she. she's probally a little depressed and has a little axienty. dont put her on any medications for this, since the medication wont help it will only cause bad side effects. its her choice to be this way, medication doesnt make disicions for people. its her own free will that does. tell her she needs to be independent and needs to stop being shy. she needs to talk to stranger kids in school and neighbors. shes not going to have someone doing everything for her, she needs to not be shy and make friends all by herself. tell her she needs to tell her thoughts and feelings to whoever is around her, and if no one is around then she needs to go find someone. to talk to and to do things with, to grow with and to work on goals with. take her with you to make friends together, show her how to make friends, but tell her what to say and tell her to do it herself. then once she does it, give her a reward, like take her out to eat or something with her new friends or let her have a party with her new friends, and tell her the real reward is in doing things for herself to get what she wants.
There could be friend problems..Stress..depressed even.. To most girls pets are the one thing that can listen without judgeing thats why most people get attatched to them so she might think thaat the pet is her only true friend.. if I knew how she normally acts I could help more please ask if you need more info. =]
maybe she is stresed form other thins that are happening which you are not aware of. She probaly doesnt want to grow and realizes how its a great thing to be young. Try talking to her about it.
It is very hard to tell from only that information. Regression could mean a lot of things. If you are noticing unusual symptoms, it couldnt hurt to get her checked out by a doctor.
maybe she thinks shes growing up so fast and just wants to be a kid again and go back to a time when you didnt have to worry about anything...How old is she?
It means you should go talk to a real doctor. They will know better what to tell you than someone on here unless they have experienced that exactly.
