What do you think of these poems that I had to do for school again? They are quite short, but this is the length we were required to do. They are also all of the same format. Can you give me your opinions? You do not have to read all of them, but if you do, can you tell me which ones you appreciate and which ones you do not?

A storm cloud is.. Gods' angry eyebrows, eyes underneath, An angry, gravelly voice, hard to understand, Outside, heavy, opressive, a dark mood. The smell of fear. Looking down on the world, Raining on our parade.

The sun is... A sunburned peach, which desperately needs to jump in the pool. The sound of summer splashing, fun and laughter. Prickly underfoot, old, dry, and parched grass. Beats down on the pavement, A defeated bully.

A tree in winter is... A bare skeleton, all exposed, A rusty shed door, creaking, yet homely. A rough, splintery table, which needs sandpaper. Piles of firewood, old and wet. A tree stands alone, a lost soul, waiting. But for what?

An artist is... A swirl of colours, ideas, flashes of inspiration. The swish of paint of canvas, the scratch of pen on paper. The rough around the edges feeling of collage. The smell of paint, beauty salons, writing studios, the darkroom. The focal point of a thousand ideas.

One more to go...

A photo is... A memory of days long past. Anger, tears, but most of all, joy. A flash of fleeting happiness, Captured in a moment of endless timelessness, Or, as some would say, a Kodak moment.

Thanks for reading. Britz.
